About Us
Founded in 1984 by John Malivuk, Summit Testing & Inspection Company (ST&I) was established with the main goal of providing geotechnical engineering consultation, construction materials testing and field observation for everything from soils to roofs and many items in between.
Since inception, ST&I has experienced continuous annual growth and has become well established throughout the community as well as with the local construction industry, including governmental, private and public sectors.
ST&I staff and resources can perform every facet of subsurface soil exploration, ranging from boring layout through drilling and laboratory testing to the finished report. Subsurface soil testing equipment ranges from hand operated sampling devices to truck and all-terrain drill rigs. No job is too big or too small for ST&I.
Our experienced soil engineers and technicians provide professional in-field testing and recommendations to alleviate observed and anticipated difficulties. Our in-house Soil Mechanics Laboratory is as complete as any in the area. Our test instruments are calibrated as required by the ASTM procedures that we perform and the Laboratory is routinely inspected and/or accredited by CCRL and AMRL in conjunction with programs administered by ASTM, AASHTO and NIST, which allows us, and therefore our clients, to have confidence in the test results.
